Creation VI series - a new palette

May 23, 2018

We have a change of palette. This has prompted the Creation VI series with a new batch of paintings.

I've moved away from the primaries again. Not for the first time. Creation II series had different base colours and that's what I mean - base. In Creation III for example we see a consistent use of colours that are not primary ie pink. However Creation III had primaries as the base colours.

I had an experiment and came up with another limited palette. I enjoy limited palette on the same canvas as it makes things clean and easy. I 'think' it's easier for the viewer to consume - that's my opinion. Maybe the result is not that limited.
